Lessons & Training

EA Equestrian offers Group and Private lessons to all ages and skill levels. 

 

We believe that riding provides a unique opportunity for children to learn about discipline, instill self-confidence, and learn to work together as a team. The bonds formed at the barn are often lifelong.  We love being a part of our riders’ lives and appreciate the support and loyalty of our barn family.

All students will start with learning basic riding fundamentals and horsemanship.   Our beginner lessons are currently offered on Saturdays by Mallory Helland.  If you are interested in beginner lessons please contact Mallory at 404-626-3836. Those who are looking to take their riding to the next level and have established a basic understanding of riding are encouraged to reach out to discuss weekday lesson availability.

Safety is our first priority.  Instructors and experienced adults are always teaching basic equine safety in all aspects of the barn. We like to instill responsibility and overall awareness of riders' surroundings.  Barn rules are posted and discussed with new and current riders. We require helmets to be worn at all times when riding; we have helmets available to new lesson students.  All students established in the program are required to have their own appropriately fitted, approved riding helmet and boots.  We will be happy to recommend local tack shops.

Riders who do not own their own horse are mounted on safe, honest school horses. 

To continue to progress, EA Equestrian riders may eventually lease or purchase their own pony or horse that may compete at local shows. We offer full and half lease opportunities (subject to availability).
